Needle Therapy Creative work is known to be therapeutic in a number of ways-it releases dopamine, creates a sense of flow, lowers blood pressure and improves brain elasticity.
Group: Quilting Memories-Make a Memorial Quilt This group provides a supportive and safe way to come together with other individuals who want to honor a loved one by making a quilted textile using significant fabric pieces. No sewing experience is necessary, and you will be taught the steps to assemble your creation. You can work on your piece at home between meetings. Ideas include using your loved one's clothing, linens, needlework, or other fabric items to create pillows, throws, runners, wall hangings or quilts to use or display. Enjoy the calming and centering effects of needlework as a means of creatively joining with others towards healing. Some equipment and instructions are available at the sessions, but you will need to bring some items of your own. A supply list will be provided. When: Fee: $20 per session. Masks are required. Please fill out the contact form under the Learn More tab if interested.
